Science of Commuting

I see bicycle commuting as a great way to embrace something I enjoy, a way to responsibly save some money, and most of all I rely on it as my only form of transportation. I don’t own a car. I don’t want to own a car. I can get to work via a bicycle commute. I realize that there is some extra effort that goes along with commuting via bicycle. A successful bicycle commute begins by dividing it up into into it’s key components: preparation, cycling, and transformation.

I divide these tasks so that the emphasis on bicycling, the thing I enjoy most, is completely singular. Biking should only be about biking. By doing so I never confuse bicycling and going to work as being the same thing. I hate going to work. I love bicycling. You get the idea.
